This is a screw locking circular connector as used on many vintage Shure and Electrovoice microphones.
The MC3M is a 3-pin connector used on the Shure 55 Unidyne microphone, commonly known as the "Elvis" mic. This cable works with Shure microphone models 55S, 55C, 55B, 55SH, 51, 535, 540, 550, and others. The MC4M is a 4-pin connector used on Shure 5155A, 545, 545S, and 565. Although these connectors are no longer manufactured by Amphenol, they are still in production, and we are able to obtain them from another source. This enables us to use new parts, not old stock.
